NBC bets on trio of big events to boost viewership. In a 10-day span in February, NBC will broadcast the Olympics, Super Bowl and NBA All-Star Game.
STAMFORD, Conn. (AP) — Kaylee Hartung will work her first Super Bowl as a sideline reporter when NBC carries the game on Feb. 8. Hartung will join Melissa Stark as sideline reporters. It is the second time that NBC has had two sideline reporters for its coverage of the Super Bowl.
“Legendary February” for NBC is fast approaching with an incredible slate of sporting events coming to NBC and Peacock, from the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics to Super Bowl LX. But before that action gets going, here are the other big events airing on NBC and Peacock this week:
The 2026 Winter Olympics kick off with the opening ceremony on Friday, Feb. 6 at the San Siro Stadium in Milan, with events extending to Cortina and other locations. The games will run for 17 days and conclude with the closing ceremony on Sunday, Feb. 22.
Multiple outlets confirmed that NBC has shelved the episode, which featured Busfield, 68, in a guest star role as a judge. It was scheduled to air Thursday, January 15, but is now going to be replaced with the SVU episode planned for January 22. Busfield previously guest starred on the hit show in 2011 and directed two episodes in 2019.
